Like you said, things will become very fragmented and ultimately the buyers and sellers end up losing out.

Both in terms of listings and also marketing ourselves as professionals. There have been some attempts at innovation in our city on the east coast, such as viewpoint.ca. They have a good idea going, and it’s something that possibly MLS could look at as a model for future iterations of their site.

I believe we are at a turning point where CREA needs to see that MLS & Relator.ca needs a serious update, other wise the real estate world as we know it now online will become segmented.
